JAMES & LAURA | Bali 2023
OUR LOVE STORY
Haha, as if.
Thank you so much for joining us for our wedding, here is everything you need to know for the main celebrations.

Please don't worry about getting us any gifts, the fact you'll be there is more than enough.

We can't wait to see you.

James & Laura

WEDNESDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER
Welcome drinks.

We'd love for you to join us during the afternoon and evening at Sol Bali. Located on Pererenan Beach, Sol Rooftop has panoramic views of Bali’s stunning coastline and sunsets, and offers a selection of lovely food and drinks.
Arrive anytime from 17:00.

THURSDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER
Free day! Have an adventure, or chill and get ready for the big day, totally up to you.

FRIDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER
The main event.

Please arrive at Villa Sungai Tinggi from 14:00 ready for a 14:30 start. The festivities will quieten down around 23:00 but the celebrations will likely go on until later. You can organise return transport in advance or call local taxi companies when you're ready to head off on the night.

Dress code: Please wear whatever you feel good in, but if you're not sure what to do, go for lightweight, smart casual. Shorts and sandals are also welcome.

SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER
The after party.
We'll be coming together again for a lazy afternoon at Mari Beach Club from 12:00. It's a 'sustainable beach wonderland' located in the heart of Canggu, on Batu Belig Beach. Whether you pop in for a cheeky cocktail or want to set up base all day, we'd love to see you again before we head off on "honeymoon".

FROM SUNDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER
The honeymoon.

After the wedding we are travelling to Nusa Lembongan (an island 25 minutes by boat from Sanur (Sanur us about 25 minutes from Seminyak)). We'll be staying around Mushroom Bay. You are welcome to join us there, it's stunning and a lot cheaper than the mainland!

Arriving in Bali
Fly into Denpasar International Airport - it's the only major airport in Bali. When you arrive in Bali, everyone has to pay $35 USD for a 30 day visa. Most accommodation will arrange airport collection for you, however if not, you can easily arrange your own transfers or grab a taxi from the designated taxi rank. Make sure you go to the designated place though as they will have set prices.
Where to stay
All locations for the wedding festivities will be based around Seminyak/Canggu so best to book your accommodation in this area during the wedding week.

KUTA | Huge party place. Australia's answer to Benidorm - stay here if you want non-stop partying and to be surrounded by lovely Bingtang t-shirt wearing Aussies.
SEMINYAK | Great places to party here too but a little more civilised, just make sure you check the reviews of where you're staying so you're not near the loud places. You know, if you want to sleep!
NORTH SEMINYAK/CANGGU | A bit quieter but lots to do (still only a cheap taxi ride to the main hussle and bussle). This is where we'll be most of the time.
Things to do
GO SURFING | There is LOADS of surfing in Canggu so just ask at the beach and you'll be able to find a board and a teacher very easily and cheaply.

PAMPER YOURSELF | Bali is known for its amazing massages, manis and pedis - there is literally one on every corner so go treat yourselves!

GO SHOPPING | The Balinese people are some of the nicest humans you will EVER meet in your life, just don't get stung with the prices they charge to tourists - BARTER!

EXPLORE | Although we will be based around Seminyak/Canggu, Bali has some incredible places, that if you have time, you should definitely try and see:
